Exactly. Many of us may crave independence more so than most. But, as you said, this shouldn't equate to doing everything yourself. Not only is this realistically impossible in the modern world, but it's also not really a feasible way to function.

@pathfinder Aged Care packages (put together by enlightened public servants), make it possible for that sector to continue to live at home, in dignity. It is called Independent Living...as in not having a full-time carer. @SerenaTori @x0 @autistics
