Dear everyone who says we should go back to "forums:"
1. Search for obscure procedure or document you know has to exist.
2. Find a forum post discussing most of it, with a critical file that seems to be nowhere else on the planet attached.
3. Click attachment so you can get the thing you need from the one source that offers it.
4. "You must be logged in to do that."
We should go back to the web.

@majick@mefi.social Agreed, but that's an extra step. It'll be hard enough getting people out of private walled gardens and into public ones. Getting them back onto the streets is even further to go.
