@dtm@mastodon.cc I just had a conversation with my sister about this. Her friend’s husband suggested they go eat and have drinks at an area Tex-Mex chain. He said “it won’t be crowded, there’s hardly any Hispanics living in this suburb.” They waited outside for over an hour to get in. Duh. This is a gringo excuse to drink, just like non-Irish Americans besmirch the Feast of St. Patrick with overindulgence and a fucking four leaf clover instead of the shamrock.
