Anybody here have expert knowledge on Nigeria's power grid, and knows why their generation has been unstable recently, and why their grid had a "total system collapse" today?

@chrisnelder@mastodon.energy Nigeria's grid isn't as resilient as what we'd have in the West. A fire in one of the country’s power plants led to “sharp drops in frequency” that resulted in grid failure early Thursday, Adebayo Adebulu, Nigeria’s minister of power, said twitter. “The fire has been fully arrested, and over half of the connections are now up and the rest will be fully restored in no time,” Adebulu said Thursday afternoon. Which is another good reason to focus on microgrids. #solar + #batteries
