@CordiallyChloe@tech.lgbt While the "really good ally" --> "oh shit, I'm trans" pathway is certainly a well worn meme, there's millions and millions of happily cis people that fight for us too. If nothing else, "First they came for..." But also just people who stand for social justice towards vulnerable minorities.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange @CordiallyChloe@tech.lgbt It also comes from the other direction. Toxic cis people assuming that the only reason someone would stand up for trans people is if they are one. That assumption helps no one.

@JessTheUnstill I'm not denying they exist. I just hate the way someone looks at you if you actually dare say "trans rights" out loud. It's like they're immediately trying to x-ray your crotch for a potential dick.
