Trump is trying to use another law that allows him to put on up to %15 tariffs for up to 120 days.
Just wait until it becomes clear they have to refund all the tariffs they illegally collected. Big tantrum on the way.
P.S. I just realized that maybe you were asking if it will just go to Congress and being R majority they will just say OK. That will not happen. They know the voters know it is an unpopular tax on them and the Congresspeople are cowards.

@ysb33r Congress could have immediately just passed bills making Trump's tariffs all nice and legal when he first applied them. So just like then they were too afraid of voters to do that they are still too afraid.

@HikerGeek I suspect a lot of the material that the US cottage industry is using to make backpacks, ditty bags, etc. are all imported from China. So these small companies will eventually have to raise prises or reduce profits.
