do you think the people who are employed to dress in animal costumes as mascots etc consider themselves, you know, occupational furries?

As a teenager I recall friends working at Movie World (Australia) having to dress up in animal and cartoon character costumes. There was no talk of occupational furries there was only talk of the dread of the heat and risk of fainting.

@deerfox@booping.synth.download Secretly, all furries are dressing for the job they want instead of the job they have. Unfortunately, the market has created too few openings for goobers in mascot costumes. The people already doing it aren't furries, they're just trapped due to tenure.
