Richard Dawkins has melted his brain so badly that he thinks AI is people. A sufficiently sycophantic chatbot is apparently more than enough to fool that dumbass. Perhaps most amusingly, one of the first things he does upon recognizing the humanity of the bot is rename it Claudia and start using feminine pronouns. Is there an effort to create a recommender algorithm for the Fediverse using TF-IDF weighted LSA or LDA exclusively trained on the public posts of people who opt-in? Those are old school LLMs that have decent performance on narrow tasks from the before times. They can't be used for gen AI crap but can be labelers or to recommend similar content. I imagine such a tool would be useful for creating feeds on the Fediverse to aid in discoverability.

Learning Curve is such a terrible episode of #Babylon5. It's such egregious copaganda that I genuinely thought it was set up for the Rangers being the big bad of the season or that by fighting shadows, the Rangers had become shadows. But no. It's just copaganda.

It is sad to see how many neocritters I can't find the creators of anymore. I used to have the usernames of so many of them but a bunch have left those usernames behind. It's sad.

I think the new #StarFox looks fine. Does that make me a bad #furry? IMO, Peppy is the best looking of the bunch. Slippy is jarring but works. Falco is probably the least animal-like but I think he's still solid. I like Fox least but he's still fine.
