@wesley @bob_zim @tumainidaniel @signalapp swiping a notification away counts as deleting afaik.
If you tap the notification, or just open the app manually and read the message, the notification does disappear, but I'm not sure if iOS handles that the same as a deletion.

@RoelandDeVries @wesley Any action which removes the notification from Notification Center is deleting the notification. This cache is so your notifications can still be shown, e.g, after you reboot the phone. Data which applications hand to an OS might be saved by that OS. People should be warned about that because it’s non-obvious, but it really shouldn’t be surprising that the data can get there. It was surprising how long the data could stay there, and that’s because the OS didn’t clean up the cache properly. Bug? Absolutely. “Vulnerability” is a stretch.
