@gthomson Indeed. They do have occasional imaginative twists, but mostly they are just general knowledge quizzes. The fact that the British cryptic is largely unknown in other countries fascinates me. I know there's some historical reason but I can't recall it at the moment. In the late 1980s I got into making my own cryptic puzzles so I have a horse in this race, as it were :)
