I'm the kind of psycho that always considers the worst case scenario, and I probably shouldn't have kids because I would be an absolute basketcase. So anyway, parents, consider this a PSA: I just had a fear confirmed by something a pediatrician on the internet said when asked for one thing they would do different knowing what they know now (I'm paraphrasing a video I've never seen but which was paraphrased to me lol). They said they would never let their child use a metal straw, because bad things happen when kids using metal straws fall down. They went into just a bit more detail than I just did, and it made my spidey senses* go off immediately, so no thanks. So uh, yeah. Use that information as you see fit. *It turns out what I've always called "spidey senses" actually has a name: the cremasteric reflex. The more you know.
