Well, I at least got something done last night: I moved the remote-control of transsend (my slideshow software) to use websockets instead of POST+SSE, and used the opportunity to also add support for transmitting the cursor position, so I can now give a remote presentation and actually point at stuff. You can see a demo here. (External link, because videos tend to be too large to post here.) Summary of the video: I have one browser-window in which the side is open in teaching mode, three windows on a second monitor in student mode, and one window on my laptop also in student mode. When I move the mouse or change slides on the instance in teacher mode, all of the other instances do the according thing (instead of a mouse using a mouse-position indicator), Note that this is all going over my webserver at Senna’s place, this is not a local demo, but what you should be able to expect over the internet!
