@hipsterelectron @ancoghlan User feedback has its own immense set of problems and biases though! Not least the infamous property of "users frequently don't have a full understanding of their own use patterns". (Plus my perception of the lampooned group is that they also reject surveys and the like too, but maybe that's unkind of me.) Developers need info from as many types of sources as they can get. What users say, what prospective users say, what users do, how they do it...
