Right out of the gate this morning, while reading the news (I know, I know, I got curious about an archaeological find), I see this:
an ewe
No. No, no, no. HELL no.
Just because a word begins with a noun does NOT mean it needs "an" before it instead of "a."
It's all about the sound. If there's a vowel sound, use "a." If there's a consonant sound, use "an."
A ewe. A. Because "ewe" starts with a "yuh" sound, a consonant. A ewe.
Do better, Popular Mechanics. Ditch the fucking AI and get a human editor who knows a thing or three.
