Microsoft/GitHub should offer an easy way for enterprise orgs to fund packages/maintainers. How about something like: Enterprise orgs allocate whatever monthly/annual amount they choose & GitHub uses the package manifest files to divide that amount up based on the org pref - e.g. % based on usage or even split or a custom setup - maybe with exclusions. Feels like a major reason orgs don't fund maintainers is it's too fiddly & time-consuming & needs contracts.
