It's about a decade since I used to do the elite timing at the London Marathon finish. Back then it would usually be Eliud Kipchoge coming first around 2:03-2:04
I'm a bit out of touch these days, but there was always the talk of "will anyone ever break the 2 hour marathon".
Todays race was won in 1:59:30 by Sabastian Sawe. That's rapid!

And speaking of speed. My wife's cousin ran a 2:28! https://results.tcslondonmarathon.com/2026/?content=detail&fpid=search&pid=search&idp=9TG2O3HQ50860A&lang=EN_CAP&event=MAS&search%5Bname%5D=Stratford&search%5Bfirstname%5D=Sam&search_event=MAS
