On the grey background I cannot perceive the two concentric circles as such. They appear distorted and possibly even overlapping. (The illusion is on the grey background; white background is only there to show what the circles look like without the illusion).
When I stare at the black spot in the middle of the fractal, the colors in the larger "twisters" slowly undulate.
The snakes moving illusion may work better for people under 40.

I hadn't even realised it's the same pattern. Fir me too, it didn't look like concentric circles at all. Only if I zoom in, and even then, my brain tries to make something else of it. But the one on the right is almost immediately obvious that they're circles
