@Lee_Holmes@infosec.exchange neat, I'll try to remember to test that next time. Personally, the tension loss hasn't been a huge issue, the secret being to pinch the running end as it passes through the truckers hitch, then tie a halfhitch on a bight and snug it up before releasing the pinch.

@ajn142@infosec.exchange Yeah, I think the innovative uses come from places where you're not lashing down a load. For example, tying a package or other scenarios where people tend to use a shoelace knot.
