@Kroc I reject both the temerary who race thoughtlessly without fear of consequence, and the timorate who preclude the possibility of any optionality out of fear of change.
I know I'm in the most minuscule minority, I can live with that.

@haitchfive I think this year I have been learning to not engage with the debate surrounding AI. I have seen my beloved programming destroyed by it but raging against the storm, especially on Mastodon, changes nothing. Change will come from the fallout, not from the fighting. We must allow the bubble to pop and, frankly, the faster the industry accelerates toward it, the better. Let them have their AI slop. If they want to put data-centres in space, go right ahead. It's physically impossible but don't let us stop you :P
