"SpaceX has ended its mission, calling it a success. ... The company said the spacecraft lost one engine during the ascent to space and was working to determine if it could go into orbit due to the loss of the engine. In an update, however, they said the Starship was in orbit. SpaceX later shared it had decided to end the mission early, taking advantage of its first checkpoint. ... Because Starship is not designed to land in cold ocean water, SpaceX said an explosion during splashdown took place, which is not an indication of a problem or an unsuccessful mission." Ends early, claiming "first checkpoint" is the whole mission and then explodes because the ocean is too cold. It was a test to last 6 hours and 10 orbits, with a splashdown, all of which it failed.
