#AskFedi requesting more info on how to use translation tools on mastodon. I can't work out if this is a mastodon client app feature or general feature. I see some posts in other languages and it automatically underneath says "translate from..." and if I click that it translates the post. Sometimes this doesn't appear and I don't know if it's that that person hasn't got a setting turned on or is something I've not got turned on. Sometimes posts from the same person are translatable sometimes not. I'm using Moshidon if that's affecting this. I'd love to know how it works as I find it so interesting to read content from across the world and have conversations across languages. I'd hope the poster could translate my reply too.
