@tilton I wonder what kind of data is needed to actually prove to the Canadian government you have ancestors in Canada? Would something that's just hand written pass?

@xoagray All the sources I've read say yes, this is valid and acceptable, especially because that was the standard in Quebec until surprisingly recently.
