@ossington Just the storage costs alone are insane. Chrome runs on literally billions of PCs. Some back of the napkin math puts the storage requirements at about half a million of the largest hard drives on the market just to store this amount of data. Remember the story about Steve Jobs absolutely haranguing early Apple engineers to be as efficient as possible to try to shave like half a second off the boot process, because multiplied by millions of computers, we are talking human lifetimes.
