@ItsePerkele @seanking @IzzyOnDroid Statistically, that's most users. I had to deal with this, a phone had at least a dozen basic-utility-looking apps that were ad/ notification spam delivery fronts. All from the Play Store, of course, because that's very safe and secure. The user in this instance was about to discard the "broken" phone and buy a new one before I stepped in. 1/2 because mastodon is dumb
