@kotrckapeter@mastodon.uno Yes, Acer might be decent, looked at them many times but never actually had one. A lot of bang for the buck. As for hw: since 2018 I've only bought 2nd hand stuff, which market is as good as anywhere over here in Vietnam. A lot of ex-corporate Dells and Lenovos being dumped. One exception: last year I managed to buy a 98 USD minipc, with a N150, 256Gb ssd and 16Gb of RAM. Those were the days ๐Ÿ˜œ

  • @kotrckapeter@mastodon.uno yes, but that's changing here as well. A Gmktec i3 10th gen barebone is 150 Eur now. And 2nd hand has gone up a lot also. But as you mentioned recently I'm perfectly happy with how things are working now, with Slackware and recent re-addition of Gentoo.

@thesaigoneer here in central Europe, this is basically a price of a second hand barebone PC with the same (or even lower end / older CPU such as N100 or even N4xxx ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜” add extra for SSD and RAM
