My favorite part of Lee Cronin’s The Mummy was when the dad asks the History 101 professor if he can translate hieroglyphics and I leaned over to my brother and whispered “those aren’t hieroglyphics they’re hieratic” and a second afterwards the history guy said to the dad “Those aren’t hieroglyphics, they’re hieratic”
