The field of program evaluation has had a lot to say about this for a long time, predating software’s perceived need to reinvent it. They call these effects that go beyond people who use the product “impact.” So you might refer to impacted populations.
Usually in program eval we look for impact to be positive, but it can also be negative.
My attempts to share this with software audiences have been quite frustrating.

Zooming out on what SX is when applied at higher scale and at wicked problem level: A universal emergent evolutionary solution development methodology to deliver solutions that are designed for having positive societal impact. During the solution delivery supply chain emergent potential of the solution pends up by the collaborative efforts of its participants and other stakeholders, and this is called the 'expected societal imprint' that its introduction into society is likely to have, which should lead to that impact.
