And as I responded to you on my thread, they can fork that code too. I'd be surprised if they haven't already.

@knowprose And as I mentioned on the other thread, the GPL license and ability to fork is a strength in this situation. Play out both situations: Blender gets taken over by all the corporate donors and starts making changes the community doesn't like, maybe even changes the license. Community forks the project, still have access to 'Blender.' See other cases of this. Rocky Linux, MariaDB, VeraCrypt, X.Org - the list of community forks that rose up in response to a takeover is huge.
