@mediaevalfishsandwich Only plausible SARS-CoV-2 (etc.) fix is some kind of massive advance in medical technology that can produce a sterilizing vaccine for coronaviruses.
That's not obviously impossible but it's not something I'd want to plan on.

@graydon Aside, vaccination (sterilising or otherwise) is a technique that at least fits into the existing way we respond to disease, but policy where I live is that children cannot have any vaccine! Technical Advisory Group said children all have infection derived immunity and risks of vaccination exceed benefits. 🥳🎉🎊
