@mediaevalfishsandwich Once you acknowledge air quality matters to health in an operant way that involves testing, you make it inevitable that people recognize that all this fossil carbon burning kills lots of people.
That means there's the same pressure to not test the air as there is to not reduce fossil carbon demand.
That is, the problem is equivalent to decarbonization.

@mediaevalfishsandwich Only plausible SARS-CoV-2 (etc.) fix is some kind of massive advance in medical technology that can produce a sterilizing vaccine for coronaviruses. That's not obviously impossible but it's not something I'd want to plan on.
