I think you're being a bit naive about it, they could cause more than just "a fright" if they hit someone, as for cyclist's reputations, I hardly think that something as frivolous as that matters. Frankly I think you're making excuses to minimise poor behaviour, exactly like car drivers do.

@piraat It's hardly frivolous when it leads to hate and violence, which it does. People tar all cyclists with the same brush, and that leads to aggressive behaviour leading to physical harm. If you compare the death and serious injury to pedestrians stats between cyclists and drivers in motor vehicles, you'll see what I mean. I'm not trivialising or excusing anything. Pedestrians being harmed by cyclists is a comparatively vanishingly rare thing. @clickhere @dec23k @Rubelicious @baoigheallain
