@len the paperwork is different involving different institutions (involving home country vs foreight country). I've read of many people travelling with the meds without permit. Of course you can if you are willing to risk it. In Japan officially it's a possible prison sentence. What is law and what is lived is not the same - the whole thing looks like it's designed TO BE broken and ignored. This is what pisses me off. NDs getting a choice to break the law or jumping through hoops.

@dahie It ends up being anti-disability in practise. It is not where it comes from (where it comes from is usually anti-drug due to opium history, and racism/colonialism laws that got leaned into instead of reversed), but it is what it ends up being. Most international travel is like this. I get you, working with other countries is difficult. (Must have misread your original post!) I also would not risk it with Japan, this is why I specified Taiwan. I am honestly taken aback that you're taking them with you at all for Japan, I was under the impression that the chances of being able to bring them are so low it's not even worth attempting. Maybe I should look into it again.
