@colm I once hung out with some Irish colleagues and their Irish friends when I worked at U of Oxford. Near the end of the night, I mentioned I'm from Cyprus because we were talking about the UN and mine removal (they had just got rid of our minefields). And one of them turns to me and says "omg I'm so glad you're not English because we all like you" 😌 (my dad is but I didn't wanna ruin the correct vibes) 💚 a cherished memory
