It was a really positive vibe and very strongly united to drown her out and then get her out. To think that people are falling for the whole thinly-veiled ‘Let Women Speak’ angle, it’s pathetic, just as she is.

@fraying@xoxo.zone Hey, heads up: there's a more direct connection between the UK TERFs and Nazism. There was a "It Could Happen Here" (podcast) episode, "The War on Trans People: Part 2, TERF Island" (2022 Mar 22), which explained that a very influential TERF, Jennifer Bilek, has been making the rounds with the argument that *surely* trans people couldn't be having the success fighting TERFs (esp in the US) by themselves. They must be secretly funded by shadowy billionaires. As a Jewish person, you know exactly where this is going: the failure of TERFs to get much traction in the US must be (Bilek is preaching) the fault of The Jews. The TERFs aren't merely going to bat for the Nazis. The TERFs, especially in the UK, are just straight up going Nazi.

@fraying@xoxo.zone Something a lot of people who aren't from BC are going to miss is that Stuart Parker was the leader of the BC Greens in the 90s. Parker was also the leader of the BC Ecosocialists in 2020 and the reason for their transphobia scandal. Parker himself apparently lied to the rest of the party because at the time he "vehemently denied" being a transphobe. Now Stuart's regularly going to bat for far-right activists. Claims those fighting the "gender orthodoxy" (which is the term Parker uses to describe acknowledging the mere existence of trans people) come from backgrounds of child abuse or had escaped from a cult, which sounds like a tacit admission that transphobic propaganda is mirroring "SaveTheChildren" and Pizzagate/QAnon narratives to recruit victims of child abuse and their families. It's also worth noting that Rowling's friend and ally Caroline Farrow of CitizenGo UK is a member of the stalking forum KiwiFarms, which is run by actual pedophile Joshua Moon.
