This is all a bit "thought in progress". But it seems that we as an open-source community need to figure this stuff out together, and for that, it's important to talk about it. That's why I wanted to share. Probably not surprising for most of you, though. :P I'm quite glad that, in our own project, we're in a position where we can steer clear of most of this crap for now. It feels like a weight has been lifted off my chest.

@blinry thank you for your clear, upfront communication. I had not thought about the financial division argument before, but you're correct that it is definitely an issue (now that the first fix is no longer free…) @andrewrk
