@retech honestly I don't think this has anything to do with pov or frames or the brain's ability to see continuous motion at all. it's way more about contrast. you can't see the motion in low contrast areas much, but it's very obvious in high contrast areas. since those are opposite in the dark and light buss, they seem to be stepping forward alternately.

    @bit101 You may be right. But, I would think the contrast forces the brain to focus more on one or the other alternately thus making the framing more pronounced. EG: This one then that one and back again. If you find a good explaination, would love to see a link in the comments. Great learning lesson for us.
