Someone said that masculinity is best described as something that is not feminine. And I can’t stop thinking about that the most cherished and highly regarded trait (for some) is basically empty. It’s just a piece of paper with “not that” written on it.

@Azzura@lgbtqia.space what's feminine then and why can it be described positively but masculinity cannot? That seems like an incongruous view. All concepts of identity have a strong basis on making distinction i.e. saying "not that" or "the opposite of that", but you need a positive core somewhere or none of this works.
