Didn’t work for some reason. Now I’m guessing the files were read-only. But then again, LibreOffice opened them without issues on my Linux rig a few minutes ago…

Open your file with Collabora Office. It will makes your file writable. If you open your file without Collabora Office (example: file manager), your file will be read-only because Collabora Office doesn’t have permission I am sorry if my english is bad.
