@MIfoodie I've been doing this for years to remove everything but the video ID (I hate it when the playlist comes along as a package deal, for example), but thank you for reminding everyone of the privacy implications. Boosted!

@MIfoodie such identifiers also exist in other links like Instagram and even sometimes websitelinks ?si is always the beginning of an identifier afaik (I think there were more, please add on to this with your information to keep spreading the informations)

@MIfoodie@social.vivaldi.net This doesn't fix anything. A Youtube link is still a Youtube link which sends people to proprietary Google owned spyware. They have many ways of figuring out where you came from, even without the source identifier links. The only way to stop Google from spying on you is to link people through proxy services such as Invidious.
