Broken stuff status update:
I wanted to assemble an expansion card for Amstrad CPC. For this I need to flash some GALs. But the power supply for my GAL programmer is dead. I wanted to troubleshoot it but my multimeter ran out of batteries. So instead I decided to swap it out for an adjustable bench power supply. That's supposed td go up to 12V, but only goes to 10.
Anyway, new battery acquired and installed in the multimeter, and power supply recalibrated so it goes up to 13 now.

I guess that's what I get for using 15 year old repurposed hardware for most things. That power supply was from a usb 3.5" hard drive enclosure that I had modified to use as an external floppy drive enclosure for the Amstrad. The replacement adjustable power supply was not used much because of this factory miscalibration, I should have opened and fixed it much earlier. The multimeter is on its 3rd or 4th battery and had been warning of a low battery for a long time already.
