I guess that's what I get for using 15 year old repurposed hardware for most things. That power supply was from a usb 3.5" hard drive enclosure that I had modified to use as an external floppy drive enclosure for the Amstrad. The replacement adjustable power supply was not used much because of this factory miscalibration, I should have opened and fixed it much earlier. The multimeter is on its 3rd or 4th battery and had been warning of a low battery for a long time already.
