I love yuri for the romantic stories and I'm tired of the performative notion that it's only acceptable if it's hyper horny goonerslop a la Strike Witches. It reeks of insecurity.

If it's the "it causes..." that's a very much losing argument that nobody should make, because it opens it up to getting wreck by the rest of anime content For the "it's just more publicity for it" is shit because 98% of that anime content isn't the terrible written western push slop
