I recently had to replace my laptop's battery — a Lenovo Legion 7 — and to achieve that menial task I had to disassemble the whole thing. This was not the norm years ago, in fact, I remember replacing the RAM and disk drive of my Dell Latitude 15 by just removing one or two screws at the bottom of the thing — the battery was also easily replaceable too!
