Normally, I love that my toaster oven has a mechanical timer that goes tick tick tick tick while it's running. I wish more things were like that. I'm annoyed at how high-tech my conventional oven is. I really miss the simpler oven from my childhood home. However, I forgot to plug the toaster oven back in after cleaning it earlier today, and it just took me ten minutes to notice it wasn't actually getting hot. So 🤦
