So, here's a controversial topic, maybe? I personally find conspiracy theorists, antivaxxers, science denialists etc to be actively dangerous to society. And we should do whatever we can to minimise their negative impact on the world. I used to listen to a bunch of different skeptic podcasts, which was fun for a while. But eventually I came to realise that a lot of the people in the "skeptic community" all appear to be insufferable arses. Could it be that because these people spend much of their time reading and responding to the stupidest people on earth, so now they exhibit something analogous to billionaire supremacy syndrome where they think they are experts in everything? It's kinda sad, because if the goal is to educate and help people look at things critically, that kind of attitude kinda defeats the purpose.
