Scams require some level of idiocy, complacency or distractedness to pull off. If you’re going out of your way to install non-standard apps you’re likely paying enough attention not to fall for it. If youre getting a mark to install something on their phone, you’d probably have just as much luck getting them to sent you a Western Union cheque.
