Hey, open question for those who do a lot of breadboard fuckery: How... do you go about organizing the absolute shit-ton of little every-color-ever wires that come with the territory?

@Kyresti@plush.city That's just one of the downsides of breadboards you can do what ben eater does for his videos, that might help organization, but you need to be pretty good at cutting and bending wire to exact lengths. there used to be tools you could get for this... ah, here, this might be of interest: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/lead-formers/ i'm sure there are easier ways to get these than mcmaster. they can probably be 3d printed to suitable tolerance -F

@Kyresti@plush.city I have several of these "34 compartment adjustable double sided small parts organizers" for all my random components and small wires. They're like $10 from Menards and are soooo handy.

@Kyresti@plush.city some of the electronics people at work use what I think are fishing tackle boxes? Plastic chest that opens up into a bunch of little compartments

@Kyresti@plush.city ive got a bunch of small jars, and i just throw gur wire in gur jar with gur similarly sized wire, you dont even need to label gur jar, just tape one of gur wires to its lid as refference. also unless i -need- gur wire to be flat on gur board, i try and round gur length of gur wire up to gur nearest pre-existing jar, so its easier to categorise

@Kyresti@plush.city rubber band or velcro them into a bundle, and don't do too much on breadboard.
