@wdlindsy I often learn more from a random post, than in all of my 50yrs of dicking with computers, so good work :-) And following on from that, if anyone reading has the faintest clue how to re-do my old laptop as an Ubuntu Server, let me know, please?! I can obvs install, *but* that machine has a 128GB nvme plus a 1Tb HDD. Every single time, the installer for Ubuntu Server either tries to make the nvme the / mount point and put everything on there, or it ignores the nvme completely and whacks everything onto the HDD. Goddess, I'm so tired!
