"Angine de Poitrine is only popular because people are sick of AI slop" is such a fucking insulting take. Those guys are doing something really new and cool, but also something that draws on the work of absurdists and musicians that have been around since before AI. They're making something really difficult musically work really well.

Also, the people I know who are most into Angine de Poitrine are also into playing around with gen AI, so there's that.
