Jonathan Biss’ interpretation of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no.3 on its own is quite remarkable, but as a part of his “Beethoven/5” cycle coordinates between Beethoven and contemporary composers, this one with a new work by Caroline Shaw is simply unmissable.
